C H A R A C T E R;
NAME: Qrow Branwen
CANON: RWBY
POINT IN CANON: Post Volume 3
AGE: Somewhere between 35 and 40 (let's compromise with 37)
APPEARANCE: What a beautiful man
CANON HISTORY: Wiki history

CANON PERSONALITY: Qrow is a very rude, blunt and cynical person. If he has an opinion, he will come and say it out loud - no matter how insulting and uncomfortable it might be. He's open to show his disrespect towards everyone and everyone he doesn't like, friends or foe. Sometimes he hates someone enough just to provoke them to attack, which happened with Winter Schnee, an Atlas military officer. His dislike may be more against the military as a whole for overstepping their boundaries, but he does also dislike Winter's general attitude. Qrow can also be very annoying and sarcastic while he's talking, making sure he overreacts to everything. This attitude can change quickly from quirky and sarcastic to a very serious tone.

Despite usually seeming rude and coarse, he can also seem very nonchalant about things around him. He gives this impression to seem distant and cold so he can avoid being close to people on easier. He does have a good judgement on when to jump in and show interest in something genuinely. He does have a good head on his shoulders, even when he's drunk (which is most of the time). He gives the sort of aura that would be described as cool... that is until you get to know him a bit better.

Qrow can be ridiculously childish. Going as far as to get an opponent into trouble by stopping his attack just in time or just distracting his nieces with the mental image of him looking up at waiters' skirts just to win in a game. He makes a lot of silly jokes, like telling Ruby Rose he's 'in trouble' in a "worried" whisper when the headmaster of Beacon Academy told him to follow him. It's an attitude that often gets him in trouble, but usually helps lightening the mood as well. Qrow has also been very self-conscious about his age, disliking when he's being old. Yet he also uses his age as an excuse to leave an uncomfortable conversation.

This childish behavior may also be his way to cover up the hurt inside. While he cares for his family and friends, he's constantly keeping their distance from them to shelter them from harm. He values his family greatly, and would like to be closer to them, but he's too self-conscious about his Semblance to actually do that. He'd rather spend his life alone than cause misfortune fall on the people that matter to him. It's a way to show that he cares, even if he doesn't usually explain his reasons just to make sure no one would try to hang out with him anyway, because they know the circumstances and can be "careful" because he knows that might not work.

In a fight Qrow sometimes get caught in the thrill of the fight, enjoying the chance to actually fight to his fullest. He's confident and cocky, even while he faces dangerous opponents. As long as he fights by himself, he can go all out and not worry about anything. The more people fighting by his side, the more cautious he will be about his surroundings and what might happen to his allies because of his Misfortune. It's a bonus when fighting alone because it might affect his enemies in his favor.

Being a veteran Huntsman has made Qrow very rough on the edges. Small tournament fights where no one gets actually hurt or killed don't seem to impress him anymore... yet when it comes to killing, he would rather avoid it all together. He does know that it's sometimes absolutely necessary, but when it's not, he's likely not killing anyone.

POINT OF DEPARTURE: n/a
VETERAN?: Moebius Veteran, yep. Handwaved dungeon rescue.

ABILITIES: Qrow, like many others in his world, has had a gift of Semblance from the day he was born. Only his isn't too much of a gift: it's more like a curse. His unique ability is to bring misfortune to anyone around him. This doesn't only mean his enemies, but also his friends and loved ones. Unlike many other semblances, he can't turn his off and it's always there, causing major and minor unfortunate things to happen.

Another unique ability for his world is that everyone is protected by Aura. Everyone has Aura in different quantities. It serves to protect the owner from harm during the battle, until the moment their Aura runs out and they're vulnerable for attacks.

Qrow is a very skilled fighter and weapon maker. He has designed his own weapon, which is a scythe that can take the form of a long sword or even a gun. Even while he's drunk, he's on par with a high ranking officer in his world. His fighting prowess doesn't limit to just weapon fighting, but also hand to hand combat, even if he prefers the former over latter.

He's also able to shapeshift into a crow and back.

INVENTORY: His clothes, a pocket flask, his weapon and any jewelry he has on, Ozpin's cane.

ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD KNOW? His misfortune is a rather huge factor, but I am willing to "powercap" it to just more minor incidents, rather than everything exploding - the game. I do plan on using his ability carefully. At the same time, you are free to use his misfortune in decisions when we have a tie and you need to decide which Arcana wins to choose the "worse" one (if he's participating in said Jaunt).

M A R K S; Hermit, Justice, Chariot
JUSTIFICATION:

Hermit - Because of his Misfortune Semblance, Qrow keeps his distance from everyone he loves and cares about, isolating himself from both friends and family. Yet he does try to give his guidance to his nieces and their friends.

Justice - In addition to 'distance' from Hermit side, Qrow can be very serious and blunt, giving his opinions like they are. Despite being drunk 99% of the time, he has a very clever mind and he carries out his responsibilities, even if he seems carefree and irresponsible.

Chariot - Qrow is very self-confident of his own abilities, to the point he's very arrogant while he fights. He also believes in constantly moving towards your goals and that you should never stop learning.

VETO: Fool and Death.

ACTIONSPAM SAMPLE:

Well what do you know, I'm back again. [At least the network seemed to be working like always. How he missed the strange voices inside his head.... except not really. He heard those enough when he got drunk enough.]

I'm Qrow. I was around for Moebius, but then the lovely hosts stuck me in a dungeon. I've heard it's been a pretty long while since then. Anyone care to fill me in on the most important blanks?

[He pauses, before adding the most important thing he had in mind for this network call out.]

Most important one of them being my pocket flask. I need a damn drink.
